Lunch @ Long Beach Seafood Restaurant to celebrate my husband birthday

On my husband birthday that day, I let him to choose location to eat to celebrate his birthday and he choose Long Beach Seafood Restaurant because he want to eat Black Pepper Crab. Long Beach Restaurant is popular with Black Pepper Crab in Singapore and both of us alway eat at there until one of the manager at Dempsey know us. But 1 year ago we stop visit those expensive restaurant already. Normally we will went to Dempsey or ECP outlet only. We have try at Long Beach King outlet before but the Black Pepper Crab not so nice compare with Dempsey or ECP outlet. So this time we choose to go ECP outlet.
When I step in to the restaurant, i saw the manager work at Dempsey outlet and we get surprise can meet him at ECP outlet. We suspect he already get promoted that's why at ECP outlet because ECP is main outlet so we just congrats to him and he just smile to us.
Ok, time to order our meals...we just get 2 persons set menu cost S$116 which is has Black Pepper Crab. Total have 4 types of dish + 1 dessert.
Hmm...abit disappointed with the Black Pepper Crab because not so taste compare with last time and the meat abit hard (maybe over cook). But for the prawn and seafood salad we like it. Fried rice all the long the taste is common for us. After we finished the meals, as usual the manager will come to us and ask how is the food and I very honest to him and feedback the taste of the Black Pepper Crab is disappointed me and he get shock with the feedback I give because normally when someone ask this type of question, customer always said nice / ok / good since they are popular with Black Pepper Crab but sorry to him that I really choosing in food. Since i pay this type of amount, I want to make sure I also will get this type of value food. Anyway, he said he will take note on it and feedback to the chefs also. So hope my next visit (don't know when got this chance again), they really improve and taste will go back as last time.

Ohya!FYI ECP and Dempsey outlets never close for break time already.

I stay at Singapore for near to 7 years and alway go around look for nice food to eat but surprise me is I never go to tcc before. I alway see alot of people enjoy life eating at there but I never try before. There is one time I pass by tcc and I told my husband that I want him treat me eat at tcc when my birthday because I want same like them sit at sofa and enjoy life chatting while eating at there but his response to me is very simple..."OK". I think sure he never take it serious what I'm talking. So, his birthday is coming and if buy whole cake then both of us sure can not finish so I just bring him go tcc eat cake after our dinner. We order 1 slice of Classic Mable Cheesecake (S$5.60), 1 slice of Ebon Forest (S$6.20) and 1 cup of Strawberry Mocha Latte (S$7.80). So, I spent at tcc is S$23.05 after GST and service charges. After eat at there and just know why people like to hang at there because their cake is nice to eat and not very sweet same as tcc drink.

Singapore Bak Kut Teh

I remember when there is my first time try out the Singapore Bak Kut Teh, I really no use to it because the soup is not dark color as Malaysia Bak Kut Teh. But after stay at Singapore for so long and I start try to accept the food at here because everyday I also need to eat and I can not too choosing if I at Singapore. I have been try to look for nice Bak Kut Teh at Singapore for so long and some really make me disappointed after try. But this Song Huat Bak Kut Teh at Rocher Road is the only one Singapore Bak Kut Teh that I can accept the taste and enjoy to eat. Besides, I alway hang around at Bugis area so there is good place for me to go just to feed my stomach. Price is S$5 / S$6 / S$8. Normally I will order S$8 (come with 5 pcs of pork rib) Bak Kut Teh with 3 rices (S$0.50 per bowl) for 2 persons. Sure the price is abit expensive if you want to compare with Malaysia but always remember that now you and me are stay at Singapore so don't always think of convert the rate if you want to survive at Singapore.Ohya, one thing that make me enjoy eat at there is I can refill the soup. If you hang around at Bugis area and don't know what to eat then maybe you can consider drop by there and try it.

So he suggested me to cook Spaghetti because can keep at least 1 week if keep in refridge. Both of us just went to Fairprice and buy all the ingredients and start prepare and cook. We spent around S$20 to buy all the ingredients and can be how many times of our meals still don't know. Lunch @ Lao Beijing Restaurant, Plaza Singapura (15 July 2012)

Few months ago my husband change his credit card point with Lao Beijing S$30 Voucher and it going to expired end of this month so we just decide go there have our lunch just to use our voucher. We ordered Braised Sea Cucumber with Braised Duck (S$22), Steamed Fish Head with Chili (S$16) and 3 bowls of plain rice (S$1 each).  This 2 dishes is our first time order at Lao Beijing Restaurant and we like its very much but for those no really like salty food then should not order Steamed Fish Head with Chili because this dish is abit salty but for my husband and me is like salty food so we like it. At first we only order 2 bowls of plain rice but because it very nice so my husband add more 1 bowl of rice. hihi!
Lao Beijing Restaurant actually popular with few types of dish especially their Traditional Roaster Peking Duck, Steamed Juicy Meat Buns, Steamed Minced Pigeon Soup and so on. To find out more about this restaurant, you can visit their website at http://www.laobeijing.com.sg/index.php

Lunch @ Barbacoa, City Square (01 July 2012)

My husband and me went to Mustafa (one of the shopping mall open 24 hours in Singapore but full with Indian people) bought something. After that is almost lunch time and we no feel want to eat Indian Food so we decide walk to City Square and look for something to eat for our lunch. That's our first time went to this shopping mall. When we walk in to the mall, there a lot of advestise which is promotion for meals and we start confuse don't know what to eat so end up i suggested to eat at Barbacoa because we never try at this restaurant before and the restaurant's decoration alsa abit special. That day this restaurant have set meal promotion so both of us just order set meals there are Spaghetti Cabonara and Grilled Pork Chop. Each set meal will come with Soup Of the Day (Mushroom Soup), drink and dessert (Ice-cream). Price is around S$10.90 per set plus 7% GST. No service charge so no need to worry need to pay more. I like the Spaghetti Cabonara because the creaming saurce is very nice, creamy and they no stingy to give more bacon too but for Grilled Pork Chop i feel it's no really nice but still ok to eat (why i said ok to eat? because i only pay for how much and alraedy can enjoy the set meal at restaurant) because its no juicy and for me it abit too dry maybe due to they cut very thin and grilled too long but they really no stingy, give 3 pcs of Pork Chop.

Cook from my sister and my mum

Last week I went back to hometown to bring my son go for 1 year old injection. So, during my stay at hometown, I never go outside find any nice food to eat because at home already can eat a lot of nice food. Normally my mum will cook but recently my sister start cooking due to my mum get injuried when taking care my son and I abit get surprise that actually my sister good in cooking also. My sister know that i like to eat Asam Laksa then she just cook for me and this is her first time cook Asam Laksa for me to eat. Taste very different from what my mum normally cook, her one is more likely same as what we can buy at outside and nice to eat also.
When we went to Pasar Malam, we saw the Sotong is very cheap, RM6 per kg. She said she want to learn fried Sotong so we just bought 2kg. When her first time fried Sotong is fail because the flour never stick to the Sotong and i told her that there is a way to do it and it maybe need to put egg but I not sure about it so both of us just online search the recipe and finally let us found it. So, when second time we fried the Sotong together, it was success and taste also very nice and crispy.
Last day before I go back Singapore, she fried bee hoon for me and it very nice. So, i also bring back to Singapore eat as my dinner.
She almost daily cook lunch and dinner for us but i never take photos for everything that she cook. I very enjoy what my mum and my sister cook for me and appeciate them because alway cook nice food for me to eat when I stay at hometown.
