Sunday Lunch & Dinner

Time to save cost.....recently keep eat nice at outside until spent up our money so now need to save money..The only way to save is cook by own but because our owner don't like us fried until the house oily so i just stream fish for our lunch and cook Sopas for our dinner. Sopas is one type of Philippine food which is cook with chicken, evaporated milk and pasta. I can't alway cook Sopas because it still need to put hot the pan and fried some of the ingredients. I too long never cook Sopas so can't estimate it and accidentally cook until 1 big pot and i'm so worry can not finish but lucky we can finished it - 1 person eat 4 bowl Sopas as picture below. Ok. total that we spent for our lunch and dinner is only around S$9.

Dinner @ Bugis Again..

As usual, we will choose either Sat or Sun go temple and church. So this weekend we choose Sat because Sun my husband need to work. After went temple and church at Bugis area, we go for dinner at outside also. Last few days when we ate at Chong Qing Grilled Fish, we pass by the Fat Bird and we also know that Chong Qing Grilled Fish and Fat Bird are from Zhong Guo Feng brand but we never try on that day so this time we try out. Hmm...actually is almost same. Is just now let people more choice. For whoever don't eat fish then now can choose to eat chicken. The way to order Fat Bird is same as Chong Qing Grilled Fish. They have 2 types of sauces there are Original Spicy & Fragrant (Spicy) and House Special Sauce (Non Spicy or Spicy). For our dinner, we order regular chicken with House Special Sauce add 1 side dish and 2 plain rice. Regular size for the chicken is S$24 per pot. Hmm...for me the taste is same as the Chong Qing Grilled Fish but we prefer eat fish compare with chicken.

After take our dinner at Fat Bird, we can't control ourselves not to go Dessert First..haha!End up we still went there and order Mango Snow Ice and Taiwan Aiyu in Honey Citron Tea.

Dinner @ Jurong East

Friday (27/04/2012) after work, I meet my husband at Jurong East for dinner. The weather is very hot so we lazy to walk very far just to take our dinner. We just decided to take our dinner at downstairs Jurong East MRT station. When we step in the kopitiam, we saw Filipino Cuisine and the queue is very long. Hmm...when we check on the price is abit expensive but i expect the portion is very big so we just order 1 Grilled Chicken + Rice and 1 BBQ Pork Belly + Rice which is cost us S$6 each. Ok...don't just look at the photos like the portion is very big...actually the plate is around 19cm X 19cm size..So, can you imagine how big is the portion of the food after deduct the few cm at top & bottom and left & right? For me, it's consider very small and how to get full especially for guy? The size of the chicken is spring chicken and the pork belly is very thin. So no choice, i just give my share almost half of it to my husband. Ok, so far i already try Filipino food at few places and this is consider out of my standard. The sauce for the chicken is sweet with blackpepper taste but the sweet is more strong than blackpepper. Maybe for others people will like it but for me i'm not. Besides, i think the sauce should have Bay Leaves taste but i can't taste it in the sauce and the sauce it not stir equally. For the pork belly, I'm not sure because i never eat pork belly but i ask my husband is it nice then he just said so so only. I think we will not go there anymore. I don't understand why the queue is so long??! 

Dinner at Bugis - Chong Qing Grilled Fish & Dessert First

After work, my hubby told me that he need to go Bugis to settle some of his things so i just meet up him at there. After settle his things, time for us to headache again...where to eat??!!haha!this is the only question almost daily we need to ask each others. This time my hubby suggest to eat at Chong Qing Grilled Fish at Liang Seah Street. If you are a person like Chong Qing food and like to challenge yourself to eat spicy food, i recommend you to this restaurant.  They have 2 branchs at Singapore there are Chinatown and Bugis. As usual, we only order grilled fish. First, we need to choose what type of fish. They only have 2 types of fish in regular size - Sea bass and Golden Snapper which is S$28++ each. So this time we order Sea Bass due to Golden Snapper already finish. Next, choose the soup. Ok, so for we only try 2 types there are Spicy & Numbing and Spicy & Fragrant. This time we choose Spicy & Frangrant and spicy level is Medium. After that choose the Sides Dish. Their sides dish is S$2.80++ each. So we only get Konjac and Black Fungus. What else??sure with 2 plain rices, if not how to get full?hihi..Ohya!always remember to call for reserve seats, if not you need to wait for very long. Events @ Bugis Junction Singapore

As usual, my hubby and me will go out and bring along with our camera. While we walking, suddenly saw there are events at Bugis Junctions at 3pm and 4.30pm. That time when we at there is around 1.30pm so we decide to go for lunch after that wait for the events start. Hmm...time to headache again...don't know where to go for our lunch...Finally we decide to try out Nando's. At first i not really want to eat at Nando's because we have ate at JB, Malaysia before for few times and for us there is nothing special. But this branch already open for so long and we never try so i think is time for us to try it. Hmm...service at there very good and get surprise is i like the chicken very much. The taste is different from what we ate at JB maybe because of the timing to bake the chicken is different.

 



Ok...after ate we walk to events place...wah! a lot of photographers already waiting at there especially at center already full and we cannot stand at there at all. haha...so what to do? we just stand at right hand side and waiting for shooting...hmm...still have 30mins the first event, Party Rocks - Fashion Obsession just want to start but because we need to secure the place so we just keep standing there. After that i realise all the photographers are carry big lens! haha...we are the only 2 persons carry smaller lens which is 50mm lens. What to do.....we don't have money to buy those lens so just use whatever lens that we have only for shooting.

After shoot for the first event, we never go other place...keep standing at there for 1 hour just to secure our place...haha!hmm..i think there is the next event that most people waiting..FHM Models Top 10 2012.

 

 

 

Me..

I'm person very choosing in food and like to eat nice food since kid. Not only me in my family, my brother and my sister also like that. Maybe because of my father. My father also choosing in food and like to bring us go around and eat nice food but now if we want to eat nice food then we need to find by own because my father already pass away...The only food that i will not try in my life is pork belly and tofu. Hmm...since i like to eat so sure i like to cook also but nowadays i only know how to cook simple dish. Is not i don't like cook complicated dish, is because now i working at Singapore and i only rent a room and stay with owner. So I'm not freedom in cooking anymore. Sometime i very miss the time i stay at hometown.

After stay longer at Singapore, I don't have much activities in my life compare with last time. I still remember when i just came to Singapore, i always play bowling, swimming, shopping, travel and so on. But now all this activities already far from my life because of MONEY NO ENOUGH. Early of year 2011, i start learn photograph together with my boyfriend. Few years ago, my boyfriend bought a Canon 400D camera from his colleague that won from lucky draw but we don't know how to use it. We only use it as like normal camera. So after that we start lazy to bring the camera go out because we feel that its very heavy compare with normal camera. Everything start again from my important day----> My wedding dinner...We don't have money to hire a professional photographer to take photos for us so we just ask my best friend to help me take for us and surprise is my cousin also offer to help me. After that i just found out that my cousin also a photographer. He is very good person. He know that my boyfriend have a Canon 400D camera then he start to teach us basic things that we need to know before use the camera.  He also give us a manual lens (Koboron 28mm) as our wedding gift. We are so happy when received the gift. Few things i learn from him are:-
1) Like your camera and like photograph
2) You want to be professional photographer or you want your camera be professional photographer? If you want to be a professional photographer then learn from manual setting and manual lens.
3) Don't feel boring to the things that you shoot or the place you go for shooting although you already repeat for so many times.

Hmm...so far my boyfriend and me don't have chance to go shooting with my cousin because we stay at Singapore and he stay at Malaysia so we only try to learn by own from what he guide us thru theory. But until now we still no able to take a nice photos. We never give up, that's y every week we try to arrange our time and go for photograph. Although that time i am pregnant but we still go out for shooting. :-P
